The Sherpas
Three guides, one practice
We are practitioners before we are anything else. Every capacity is built by practice, and practice goes further with a guide who has walked the terrain. Mindfulness Inc. is held by three Sherpas, each bringing a different face of the same work: executive experience, contemplative depth, and clinical science. Together they carry what keeping a clear, steady mind in the age of AI actually asks for.
Koen van den Biggelaar
Founder, Mindfulness Inc.
Koen spent twenty-plus years in senior leadership at Accenture, AWS and Microsoft, most recently as General Manager Customer Success, building and leading organizations of 200+ people through large-scale AI and cloud transformation. He is Adjunct Professor of AI & HR Leadership at IE University in Madrid and strategic advisor to MetricsIQ.ai.
His work rests on deep contemplative training, including a period ordained as a Buddhist monk. His TEDx talk, “Pause as the New Progress,” carries the core message: in the age of AI, the trained capacity to pause and see clearly is a leader's real edge. He is co-author of “The Student Brain in the Age of Generative AI” and holds a degree in Applied Physics from TU Eindhoven.
Khin Lay Maw
Inner Balance Guide
Khin is a seasoned entrepreneur and senior project manager with over 25 years across financial services, utilities and hospitality. As founder of multiple ventures she has built business ecosystems from the ground up, a firsthand education in the pressure and mental static of modern leadership.
Alongside that career she carries decades of immersion in advanced meditation lineages, including, like Koen, a period of ordained monastic practice. She translates that training into practical mental infrastructure for executives, and leads retreats and workshops across Canada and the United States.
